Contact lenses
A fitting that starts with your day
For adults who want contact lenses, or who want to change the ones they wear.
A contact lens exam adds measurements of the front of your eye to your regular exam. Then the doctor fits a lens, you try it, and we check how it sits and feels before you decide.

The fitting
How a fitting works
- 01
Step 1: Exam and measurements
Your eye exam, plus the shape of the front of each eye.
- 02
Step 2: Trial lenses
You try a lens in the office. We check how it sits and how it feels.
- 03
Step 3: Handling lesson
We teach you to put lenses in, take them out and clean them.
- 04
Step 4: Follow-up
A short visit to check that the lenses suit you and your eyes are comfortable.
Our policy
Your prescription is yours
Your prescription is yours. We give you a copy of your contact lens prescription when the fitting is finished, and you can fill it anywhere. If a seller calls to verify it, we confirm it.
A contact lens exam and fitting is billed separately from your regular exam. How fees work explains which plan pays toward it, and we give you a written estimate before anything you pay yourself.
About contact lenses
Can I have my contact lens prescription?
Yes, once the fitting is finished. If a seller calls us to verify it, we confirm it.
Can I fill my prescription somewhere else?
Yes. Your prescription is yours. We give you a copy after your exam and fitting, and you can fill it anywhere, online or in a shop.
How much will my visit cost?
It depends on what the visit is for and what your plan covers. We give you a written estimate in advance if you pay without insurance. How fees work explains each part.
